Rock for Rwanda – Monday, June 3rd, Kids Play Int’l hosted it’s first ever benefit concert in New York City at Sullivan Hall. The evening was a great success thanks to the stellar performance by The X Brothers & special guest Sway!!!
The evening started with an introduction to KPI by founder, Tracy Evans, and a short screening of KPI’s new video sharing the mission and vision of KPI. The X Brothers took the stage at 9pm and played covers as well as Blue Oyster Cult classics until 11pm. The energy in the hall was amazing and people were truly “rocking” for Rwanda.
Special guests included, Kim Vandenburg, Olympic Bronze Medalist, Swimming; Diane Dixon, Olympic Gold/Silver Medalist – Track & Field Sprinter; Taraje Williams-Murphy – 2X Olympian, Judo; 4X National Champion; and, Kids Play Int’l founder, Tracy Evans, 3X Olympian, Aerial Skiing as well as Phaidra Knight, 3X World Cup, 2-X All World Team honoree, USA Rugby Player of the Decade; Dawn Riley, only American, male or female, to sail 3 America’s Cups, Sailing; Doug Dolphin, 2013: NPC New York Metropolitan Championships – Overall Winner, Bodybuilding
KPI is grateful for the support of various donors, including, The Diamond Club International, Bob Lynde and Fat Barrel Wine, and Joe Capobianco of Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network who provided awesome raffle prizes for guests.
