Matt Komer – Volleyball

Matt KomerBecoming partners in crime with his now wife, and fellow KPI Ambassador, Jaime Komer while earning their Bachelor Degrees in Psychology at UCLA – along with a few NCAA Championships with their respective teams – Matt and Jaime were very fortunate to have the opportunity to explore the globe during their collegiate and professional careers. Traveling and living abroad opened their eyes to other cultures, perspectives and lifestyles, which continues to inspire them today in their way-of-life and career. With a hefty handful of injuries and surgeries, Matt (and Jaime) learned the “hard way” there was something missing in the athlete’s lifestyle – an all-encompassing proactive approach. You guessed it, this got their creative and curious juices flowing. How can we help others prevent injuries? How does traveling or modern amenities influence one’s athletic performance and wellbeing? Always on a mission, they created a goal to uplift the global community by teaching others to be proactive in their health.

With the mindset to lead a positive and balanced lifestyle, they created AYTLifestyle with the intention to inspire others to do the same. Together, the Komer’s epitomize a strong work ethic, carefree attitude, and genuine nature. When they’re not exploring the world’s nooks n’ crannies, Matt and Jaime reside in sunny Southern California with their dog, Mosman (the Beast).  They are also expecting their first child.

Matt and JaimeMatt and Jaime have led trips to Rwanda for KPI and have been supporting KPI for many years now.  Matt may have a large presence at 6’7” however, his quiet, kind and fun nature makes him a huge hit with our kids in Rwanda.  Thank you Matt for all you have given back to KPI and our children.  Your support means the world to us and them!
