Cameron Myler – Luge
Cameron is a 4-time (yes, 4-time!) Olympian in luge (that’s the really fast sport where you go feet first down an iced track at 80 mph). As a 7-time National Champion and 9-time Female Athlete of the Year, Cameron was elected by her Olympic teammates to carry the American flag at the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. Cameron is more than a highly decorated athlete. She graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude, received her law degree from Boston College and then started her legal career on Wall Street. After representing high-profile clients in sports, intellectual property and media cases for a decade, Cameron decided to focus on her passion for using sport as a means to effect positive social change (yep, that’s where Kids Play comes in!).
Cameron now shares her wealth of knowledge and her gift to inspire others by teaching International Sports Governance, Legal Issues in Sports and Amateur Sports Governance to graduate and undergraduate students in New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. In her free time, she’s also a photographer whose work has been displayed in galleries both in this country and in Europe.
Needless to say, Cameron is beyond inspiring with her endeavors and achievements!
